2023 Wedding Trends
As we settle into 2023 and approach spring wedding season, a few key trends are emerging. From bold color to artistic photography, here’s what’s hot in weddings right now.
Color
Whether it’s a bold pattern or bright floral hues, color is everywhere this year – as proven by the 2023 Pantone Color of the year – Viva Magenta! Couples are embracing brightly colored floral blooms, saturated linens and patterned bridesmaid dresses! Mixing patterns and colors is a trend straight from the fashion runways, and it’s alive and well in the wedding world.
Hanging installations
Ceilings are having a moment. Suspended floral wreaths, strategically placed chandeliers, and fabric draping are just a few ways couples are getting creative with their wedding design. While these installations require additional planning and important logistical details, the end result is well worth the effort!
Wedding Weekend
Why have a wedding day when you can have an entire wedding weekend? Many 2023 couples are choosing to host wedding weekends instead of just the traditional wedding reception. With Friday night welcome parties that include the entire guest count, to a farewell brunch on Sunday, the party never stops! Couples like this option so they can spend more quality time with their family and friends throughout the weekend versus trying to pack it into a five-hour reception. Be sure to ask the team at The Venues at Langtree to pair you with our partners for the perfect “destination wedding” (which may be right in your own backyard).
Blur Motion Photography
Bright and airy photography ruled the wedding world for years, but there’s a new trend emerging. The blur motion technique captures movement, intentionally giving the images a blurred effect that is all the rage. The artsy take on wedding photography may not be for everyone, but it’s having a heyday!
Statement Aisles
Walking down the aisle is a top moment on anyone’s wedding day, so why not make the aisle spectacular! Runway aisles are all the rage and making a big splash on the wedding scene.
Low floral arrangements lining the aisle creates a garden-like path for the big entrance and is a popular trend for 2023. A bonus? These arrangements can be easily repurposed to add décor to the reception space.
2023 is sure to be a fabulous year for weddings! Follow along and see what the year ahead holds for our couples.
