The Dinah Project
History
When the new owners purchased the property in 2021, they dug into the research. They felt it was important to honor the lives of the enslaved people who lived and worked here. The library on the first floor is dedicated to share findings, educate and inform generations to follow.
Dinah was an enslaved person who lived much of her life on the property and helped maintain the farm at Langtree road. The project is named in her honor.

Project Leadership
The Dinah Project’s mission will be formed by a Board of Advisors, under the leadership of Dr. Lucretia Berry. The project will begin to take form in 2022 and will grow overtime as research continues.
